After two tough games to start our JD Cymru North league season in quick succession, things don’t get any easier for us as we face Flint Town at home.
Our Tuesday night fixture at Bangor City was tough for numerous reasons, we came up against a largely unknown group of players only a couple of days after our first competitive fixture for three weeks.
But we equipped ourselves well, especially in the first half, we felt we could have been leading at half time.
The second half wasn’t great overall, a couple of poor goals against have cost us an opportunity to come away with a positive result. Some clever play by Bangor allowed them to kill the game, along with the sheer volume of free kicks awarded meant that the game became very stop-start.
Looking ahead to Saturday, we are looking forward to returning to The Globe in what will be another difficult game. We’ve had some good games with Flint over the past two seasons and we know that we will need to be at our best to gain a positive result.
Our supporters traveled in numbers to Bangor on Tuesday night, we really appreciate it.
It would be great to see as many as possible again on Saturday, we need all the positive support we can get. We as a group of players and voluntary staff do this simply because we enjoy football and want to give local players the opportunity to play football to a decent level and continue to improve. Please get behind the players after a difficult night on Tuesday.
