Buckley entered their second week of rapidly recurring fixtures by defeating local their rivals Mold Alexandra to continue their great run of form in the League.
Games against the Alex are never easy whatever league we play against them in and we have to remember that they were the last team to beat Buckley in a league game, back in March. Since then Buckley have put together a run of eight consecutive League wins in a little over a month, a run that has seen them top the league table and go three points clear.
The first half was a tight affair with few chances other than Buckley hitting the post following a deflected shot that spun onto the post.
Jake Roberts did break the deadlock early in the second half and this was followed at the midway point when a long through in from the right flank was back headed by Luke Blizard looping up and over the Mold defence to find the back of the net.
Mold tried to mount a comeback but Buckley held on to their two-goal advantage to claim back the local bragging rights.
