It was nice to be able to catch up with Rob Jones at the FAW Round 1 Cup tie at the Globe on Saturday against Brymbo FC as he was there supporting his team mates in their 3-1 victory. Rob unfortunately dislocated and broke both his leg and ankle in a recent match at FC Nomads.
Rob said, “I am well and on the road to recovery following the surgery to repair the damage.”
“I have had to have a metal plate and screws placed in the leg to hold it all together and allow the bone to heal. At the moment I am working with the Physiotherapist to build up the strength to allow me to walk again. I have been told that I should be able to play football again once everything is healed and so it is just a matter of time and taking it in stages to allow that to happen.”
“Once there I then have to be mentally right, which will probably be the toughest test but I am sure I will be fine once I get back into the action.”
Everyone at the club wishes Rob all the best and a speedy recovery and we can’t wait to see him back playing in the back four sometime soon.
