In this weeks preview Reserves Manager Charles Barton said, “After a week off from fixtures last Saturday, the players have enjoyed a small break from games but have also taken the opportunity to work on parts of our game.
We have had two good results over the last two league games and we’ll be looking to build on this on Saturday.
We have seen a real improvement in performances and therefore results over the past couple of games.
Over the year so far the majority of players in our reserve team squads have been 16/17 years old, in keeping with our philosophy as a club of giving young players an opportunity to gain experience in open age football.
We feel as though the younger players have started to settle after the first two months of the year, and we are excited to see who can push on and earn a spot in future first team squads, as we have already seen happen so far this year.”
