Buckley Town travelled the eight miles down the A550 to Llay Welfare for their WNL Premier Division League Cup tie on another wet and windy day for a game that managed to survive the weather.

It took a dogged display on a very wet and muddy pitch to get the result we wanted with Buckley coming out on top following goals from Jordon Hensel (70), Shaun Tinsley (80) and Chris Forshaw (87) for a 3-0 victory.

With the draw being made prior to kick off we knew a positive result would lead to a semi final tie at either Corwen or Brickfield. Their game did not survive the weather so we will have to wait till March 10th to find out who we will play.

The Reserves tie at Gresford Athletic also did not survive the weather so will now be played on February 24th.

Semi Final Draw

WNL Premier Division League Cup

Corwen or Brickfield v Llay Welfare or Buckley Town
Cefn Albion or Mold Alex v FC Nomads or Hawarden

WNL Reserve Division League Cup

Chirk or Mold Alex v Corwen or Cefn Druids
Gresford or Buckley Town v Ruthin Town
