A lacklustre performance from Buckley Town ended with a 2-0 victory for Denbigh Town.

Denbigh were the more aggressive from the outset and did not allow Buckley to get their passing game going, winning most of the second balls.

Goals from Jordon Barrow on 40 minutes and Pat Hinchcliffe on half time sealed the points for Denbigh.

Buckley improved in the second half and had more of the game but the only real chance of note was a powerful shot from Adam Eden that flashed across the face of the goal but ultimately wide.

Buckley will really need to improve their game, as on Tuesday night they go into a NEWFA Challenge Cup game at home to Saltney Town. They were 4-0 winners today and given it is a derby game they will be looking to turn Buckley over. Buckley on the other hand are on a poor run of form and will really need to lift themselves or another defeat will come their way.
