Everyone at Buckley Town Football Club are delighted to announce the official merger of our Senior and Junior sections. The two clubs have always operated as two separate entities and have been run by separate Committees.
Over the last two to three years, the clubs have strived to work side by side and looked to create a relationship that has never previously been in place. As time has progressed and with the link growing strongly, the merger was a goal set by both clubs approximately eighteen months ago.
For the first time in the history of the club, there is a clear pathway for local players from the under 5 Mini Kickers, right the way through to the Senior and Veterans squads. The club will also continue to grow its number of girls teams amongst different age groups. The vision and goal for this pathway to be in place has been the driving force in the merger and something that the club is very proud of.
The merger is a major stride forward for all involved and gives us an opportunity to fully support and focus on our local players and coaches.
Over the past few years, we have endeavoured to forge closer ties with our community, and this is reflected in our ever-growing participation and attendance. Everyone involved within the football club have worked tirelessly in recent times to arrange the merger and to start building a new structure for our future. Buckley Town Football Club will now consist of a Board of Directors, Committee Members, and Sub Committees as it starts its journey as a community-focused club.
There is still a vacancy to be filled on the Board and new Committee Members are always welcome. For anyone wanting to get involved, please contact Secretary Emma Iball or the club directly, via our website or social media channels.
