The FAW is pleased to announce that it is to allocate funding to the Cymru Leagues, after entering into a unique partnership with The National Lottery.
The financial package established by the FAW and The National Lottery will see each Cymru North club for the 2020/21 season, receive a one-off payment of £5,000 per club as a consequence of matches being played behind closed doors, owing to Welsh Government Coronavirus Regulations.
Football clubs across the Cymru Leagues are at the heart of their communities. This funding stream recognises the role Cymru Leagues clubs play in their communities beyond match day.
This grant is dependent on the Cymru North being granted ‘Elite Athletic Status’ by Sport Wales, which would enable Tier 2 to start the 2020/21 season.
This is welcomed news for all clubs in the Cymru North and Buckley Town Football Club would like to thank The National Lottery for their support.
