Recap
Experience at the back under the watchful eye of Steve Evans the Welsh full international and assistant manager of TNS ensured the score remained low in a game that Buckley Town dominated but never really created that many clear cut chances that would have shown that dominance.
On a very heavy pitch the only goal of the game came on 40 mins when good work by Paul Keenan in the box saw him wriggle free and in on goal. As he went to round the keeper he stood on his foot and down he went for a penalty converted by Aled Bellis.
Try as they might they could not break Lex down in the second half despite the one way traffic headed towards Lex’s goal with the game and three points won by that solitary first half penalty.
With league leaders Brickfield losing at home to Cefn Albion 1-2, the league is now wide open to whoever can put together the best run in with Buckley in the mix but with a heavy back log of games to play in a very short space of time.
