Rob has spoken to Chairman Pete Gunson today and been able to provide a progress report on how he is fairing. As we know Rob was admitted to hospital following the incident during the game at FC Nomads and found to have not only dislocated his ankle but broken his ankle and leg also.
On Wednesday night he had an operation to put his foot back in place and then on Thursday night he had an operation to put a plate and screws in to fix his ankle.
He reports he is in a lot of pain and very tired as you would imagine but he is still in good spirits.
Everyone involved at the club would all like to pass on our best wishes to Rob, would hope he has a speedy recovery and is back with us as soon as is possible. Pete, Charlie and Dan intend to visit him and will pass on those good wishes in person.
Tonight’s game between FC Nomads and Buckley Town had to be abandoned 5 minutes into the second half due to a serious injury to defender Rob Jones and he has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
Buckley Town striker and Rob’s brother Andy is with him and has texted to say he’s in good spirits and the paramedics think it’s a bad dislocation of his Ankle.
Everyone at Buckley Town would like to wish Rob a speedy recovery. He is an important member of our first team squad and we all know he will be back with us soon enough. All the best Rob.
