On the first sunny and rain free day for a while Brickfield Rangers were made to work really hard for their 2-0 success against Buckley Town.

The opening goal came in controversial fashion when they took a 27th minute lead through Steve Watkin, the goal was initially ruled out but after consulting with his linesman, referee Phil Roszkowski over-ruled things and allowed the goal to stand.

At times Buckley dominated play but they could not find that breakthrough goal that would have rewarded all their effort and had a couple of penalty shouts denied but as Buckley tired at the end of the game through all that excertion Brickfield held firm and Dale Davies put the tie to bed very late on in the game.

The Welsh National Premier Division League Cup final will therefore be between Brickfield Rangers and Hawarden Rangers to be played on Friday May 11th May at Cefn Druids ground ‘The Rock’ with a 7:30 kick off.
