This has to be one of the best grounds in the Welsh National League and shows what can be on offer from non league football where there is a small group of enthusiasts willing to put the time and effort into building their football club. The playing surface is excellent despite the slope and the ground has all the facilities needed, maybe with the exception of lights, to allow Penycae to progress to the next tier of Welsh Football when they are ready.
Buckley provided a clinical performance in which they controlled the game from start to finish. Penycae’s young side where never really in it and goals from Adam Eden, Josh Jones, Jake Roberts (2), Shaun Tinsley and Alex Bellis saw Buckley add to their goal difference in the league.
The sides play each other again on Monday 14 May at the Globe with a 7:30pm kick off and Buckley Town will again hope they can add to their goals for tally.
